HBPO joins Plastic Omnium at the CIIE Shanghai

  • HBPO for the first time at CIIE
  • New developments making BEVs charging convenient and safer

Lippstadt/Shanghai, 5th November – Première for HBPO: the German company is exhibiting at the China International Import Exhibition (CIIE) in Shanghai for the first time. Together with its majority shareholder Plastic Omnium, the automotive supplier is visiting the large multi-industry fair. The module specialist will be giving an insight into his know-how competencies from November 5th to 10th.

HBPO is the global market leader in the field of highly integrated front-end modules. The experts also apply their nearly three decades of experience in modularising the car front to other modules. Cockpit modules, centre consoles and a variety of aerodynamic solutions for the vehicle front are now part of the product portfolio. HBPO, having historically a high customer proximity while understanding their wishes and trends, does now offer solutions in high demand during the automotive industry transitions towards more sustainability and more added value for the end user.

In addition to a front-end module, HBPO is also presenting three new charge door Lid module (charge port door) concepts, enabling the charging process, both, easier and safer for the end user. For Example, considering electric vehicles are charged more frequently and for long time periods, the designers at HBPO have been looking for smart solutions to protect the Lid during charging. While using various kinematic solutions, the company has succeeded in making the Lid to open inwards, outwards, upwards or sideways, allowing the Lid to remain close to the vehicle body. But the concept modules can do even more: for example, they are illuminated, both, inside and outside to offer the driver more service. A display shows the current charging status, and a de-icing function ensures the Lid opens and closes perfectly even in cold temperatures.

On display will be also the Rollo, which contributes to increase the electric vehicles range. The idea, which was developed by HBPO, is already in series production and is being constantly further developed.

HBPO can be visited at the CIIE Shanghai from November 5th to 10th, at Hall 2.1, Booth H0728.
