HBPO honoured as "family-friendly company"

Lippstadt, 3rd July 2019 – HBPO has once more been certified as a "family-friendly company in Soest District". "We are very pleased about this recertification, because it is important for us that our employees are able to reconcile their family situation with their working lives" says Anja Sprenger, Director Human Resources. Flexible working times are therefore self-evident at HBPO. For instance, nearly every part-time employee has their own working time model according to their family obligations and needs. From August, mobile working will also be possible, from home for example. HBPO uses deferred compensation for subsidising child care, among others.

 

It has become established practice that almost all new fathers make use of their statutory entitlement to parental leave, while the company subsequently makes it as easy as possible for fathers – and mothers as well of course – to return to work. "We see this as being part of reconciling work and family life" continues Anja Sprenger, Director Human Resources.

 

HBPO also considers the needs of its employees when it comes to caring for elderly parents or other family members, and makes sure they are not left alone when such a situation arises. The "Elder Care" programme offers support when employees have to care for family members. An HBPO partner with many years of experience in the care sector provides advice on fundamental aspects and detailed issues, helping to arrange for care options and much more besides.
